Tanya Polstra
Executive Director
Tanya Polstra
Tanya Polstra was born and raised in Southern California. Before being accepted as the Executive Director in June 2020, Tanya was a Sign Language Scripture Engagement Project Manager at Deaf Bible Society. She also worked with Deaf children and Deaf children with disabilities for 12 years during her early career.
She holds an M.A. in Disability Studies with an emphasis on policy and advocacy in ministry from California Baptist University in Riverside, California.
She travels around Indiana and the U.S., speaking at schools, churches, retreats, workshops, and ministry conferences the integrity of the Deaf Being, fellowship, and created in God’s image. She was in International Service Projects serving and sharing the Gospel with Deaf people overseas in South America and three different regions of Asia. She also took courses such as Grasping God’s Word, Perspectives on the World Christian Movement, Deafhood 101 and 201, and Vineyard Deaf Ministries Program. She received recognition and awards for excellent leadership and team building for her leadership skills. She is known as a motivational speaker.
Tanya and her husband married in 2010, and they have three children. She loves to read books about leadership, cross-cultural missions, and trauma healing. She enjoys running half marathons and full marathons.
