Andrea Guettler

Family Summit Director

Andrea Guettler

Andrea Guettler is a passionate and accomplished educator, faith leader, and advocate with over 20 years of experience in teaching, homeschooling, and ministry.  A proud Deaf woman born in a hearing family, Andrea is the mother of five Deaf adult children–whom she homeschooled for nine years, fostering both academic growth and spiritual strength.

She earned her degree in Elementary Education with the highest honors from Gallaudet University and has devoted her life to empowering students through accessible, inclusive, and Christ-centered learning.  Andrea has taught at Maryland School for the Deaf for over a decade, serving both high school and elementary students, with a special heart for Deaf children and those with special needs.  She also led Deaf Sunday school classes and young girls’ ministries, driven by her lifelong mission to help children know and follow Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Currently, Andrea serves as the Family Summit Director for Deaf Kids Connect – Deaf Harbor, where she leads with compassion, conviction, and a deep commitment to helping families thrive while she continues to teach at Maryland School for the Deaf.

Outside the classroom, Andrea enjoys quiet mornings with her Bible, a good book, and a strong cup of coffee.  She also finds peace and joy in nature– walking, hiking, playing disc golf or rallying with her children in a game of pickleball– and loves coloring in her free time.  Her life reflects resilience, faith and the unwavering belief that every child can grow, flourish, and walk confidently in their purpose.
