Deaf Harbor and Deaf Kids Connect Unite for Greater Impact

We’re thrilled to share exciting news: Deaf Harbor and Deaf Kids Connect are merging under one united operation. While each organization will continue serving under its own brand, we’re coming together as one legal entity, driven by a shared mission and vision.

This decision wasn’t made lightly. For over a year and a half, we’ve been prayerfully planning and engaging trusted mediators to ensure this process honors both ministries’ legacies. We’ve worked diligently to comply with all legal and financial requirements while keeping transparency and integrity at the forefront.

Why Are We Merging?

Both Deaf Harbor and Deaf Kids Connect are deeply committed to serving the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, especially within the realm of Deaf ministry and Christian discipleship. We believe this merger will allow us to:

• Be more intentional in our outreach and programs.
• Expand our impact and reach more individuals and families.
• Share resources and reduce overlapping efforts, ensuring good stewardship of time and finances.
• Honor Deaf values of community, information sharing, and mutual support.

We recognize there are significant needs in areas such as discipleship, teaching, mentorship, and family support. Many Deaf individuals experience spiritual isolation, while hearing parents of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children often struggle to find Deaf Christian mentors who can walk alongside them. By uniting our ministries, we aim to bridge these gaps more effectively.

Each organization brings unique strengths to this new chapter:

• Deaf Harbor focuses on strengthening Deaf churches and developing leadership and discipleship resources within the Deaf community.
• Deaf Kids Connect empowers families and equips Deaf and Hard of Hearing children to grow in their identity in Christ and thrive spiritually.

By combining our efforts, we’ll be able to maximize our reach, reduce redundancies, and support both Deaf leaders and families with greater unity and purpose.
