Description: For many parents, initially finding out their child has a hearing loss can cause enormous pain and confusion. Parents in this situation often experience a wide variety of emotions, including grief, loneliness, anxiety, sadness, anger, and even panic. These parents are frequently asked to make many decisions for their child quickly. Parents are also often expected to become experts in everything suddenly. The Deaf Kids Connect team sees parents feel overwhelmed and unable to do it. Especially as parents have to be “on their game constantly.”

This workshop is for parents of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children to experience support, care, and Biblical encouragement as they engage with other families walking a similar path. Inner healing and spiritual growth are possible and are facilitated well within a group of families who share a commonality in journey, experience, and feelings.

In this workshop, Deaf Kids Connect’s group of parents will lead with care and support, and we will cover essential topics on seeking the heart of God. We will find biblical support in this workshop as we connect the Deaf and Hard of Hearing child to Jesus. We will proclaim the truth that every child is created in God’s image.

This workshop is 8 hours long. The cost of this workshop is $75 per person.
